The Artist

Puyã Yohannes is a self taught Graphic Designer, whose work is most recognized for her Ethiopian culture with strong and graceful representation of Black/Brown people. She has a unique fusion of traditional art with contemporary style, she explores the depths of inner beauty and empowerment of women. Her illustrations tell stories in celebration of beauty, diversity and culture through her experience from home (Bole) in Addis Ababa into the portraits. Many of her art work is inspired by her culture fused multifaceted stories of women.
